Dear Business Friends,

We are making plans for our 2014 celebration and we are happy to announce that the Saturday festivities will once again be at beautiful Lovers Point Park. This year’s dates are July 23-27. We added a special event on June 22nd called the Beach House Brunch (with live and silent auctions) to fundraise for the Feast. If you would like more information, visit our website or contact me. The Board is working diligently to bring you and your family the best Feast possible with fireworks! We are moving forward full speed ahead and hoping that with our enthusiasm, and your help, we can continue to bring our community this traditional celebration. It takes a lot of money to do that; the Board of Directors is totally responsible for raising those funds and it is a very difficult task.

I am happy to be working on the Feast of Lanterns Board of Directors as a liaison to the business community. I am hoping for your help in keeping the Feast as we have come to love it. Along with funding for events we need help with funding our scholarships and with year round operating costs (such as storage for sets and costumes, new costumes and costume repair, etc). Business benefits from this wonderful community event. Sponsorships are available for several Feast of Lanterns events (please call me if you are interested in a sponsorship.) Greetings from your 2014 Feast of Lanterns Board of Directors. First, we would like to send a huge thank you to those who helped us in “Lighting the Way” last year. With your help, we did it! Once again, the board is working diligently to bring you and your family the best Feast possible. As you know, it takes lots of money to bring our traditional celebration to our Pacific Grove family and friends. The Board of Directors is totally responsible for raising those funds. It has become more and more difficult, but we have faith that we will be able to “get the job done” again this year. This year’s celebration will be July 23 -27, with a special event to kick-off the Feast on June 22nd. We are dedicated to continuing the Feast of Lanterns as you have come to know it. It continues to keep the heritage of Pacific Grove alive and to award scholarships to young women in our community. The Feast brings our residents, friends and families together in fellowship and benefits our business community, which in turn, benefits all of us.

To keep this tradition going, we need lots of PARTNERS…..WE NEED YOU! Again this year (besides our faithful resident donors), we are asking the business community to partner with the Feast of Lanterns committee by having a liaison on the Board of Directors and by sponsoring some of the events and activities. Along with funding for this great event, we need help with year round operating costs (including storage for sets/costumes, printing, etc.)
